“Presently, an atmosphere of fascism has been created in the country,” he said while speaking at a news conference here.

He was accompanied by the party’s new information secretary Sheikh Waqas Akram MNA.

He pointed out that all cases against Imran Khan fizzled out one by one but the cases of Toshakhana and Al-Qadir University were still continuing.

Shibli explained that currently the case of Toshakhana was with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), claiming that both the Al Qadir University and Toshakhana cases were baseless.

He said Bushra Bibi’s cases were being deliberately prolonged and that she was being punished only to hurt the PTI founder.

“If you want to punish, then give him but don’t deliberately delay the cases,” he contended.

An atmosphere of fascism has been created in the country and the Constitution is being toyed with politically, he charged.

Speaking on the occasion, Sheikh Waqas Akram said the rulers wanted to target Article 63A at this time and to try Imran Khan in a military court.

“A government which won only 16 seats cannot amend the Constitution. Form 47s have been brought for a specific purpose,” he emphasised.

He said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf will be a wall in the way of constitutional amendment, first from outside the Parliament and now they were secretly attacking from inside.

Separately, Aleema Khan said that the rulers wanted to suspend the constitution through amendments.

Talking to the media outside the Adiala Jail, she said, “We have to leave our homes for the sake of democracy and independence of the judiciary. When we hold a rally, they turn off the lights and block the roads”. She said by allowing the PTI gatherings in cattle markets, the rulers wanted to humiliate the humanity.
