TANK: Suspected militants attacked a vehicle carrying polio vaccinators and cops in Pai area in the Tank district on Friday, a senior police officer said.
District Police Officer, Tank, Aslam Nawaz Khan said that the militants attacked the vehicle in the limits of Gul Imam Police Station in the district.
He said the polio vaccinators and the cops escaped unhurt in the attack. The official said that the vehicle was damaged in the firing. The attackers, he added, fled the scene when the policemen returned the fire. A heavy contingent of the police arrived at the spot after the attack and launched a search operation but no arrests could be made.
