The JUIP spokesman Aslam Ghori said that party’s elections for four provinces, Gilgit-Baltistan and Islamabad had already been completed.

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUIF) at a hearing on August 30, sought time from the electoral entity for completing its intra-party elections as the political party’s organisational structure, according to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), became dysfunctional following the expiry of the terms of its office-bearers this July 7.

The defence counsel said the JUIP intra-party polls process would complete in the coming days, and sought time in this regard, for the party polls to complete.

The bench of ECP after hearing the case on September 18, had reserved its ruling. The next hearing will be held on October 08.
