CTD arrests suspect with weapons stolen from private security company

Further raids were underway based on the suspect's identification, police officers say

karachi: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) of the Sindh police announced on Thursday the arrest of a suspect for stealing weapons from a private security company.

According to a CTD spokesperson, the operation was conducted at the Yusuf Goth bus stop on Hub River Road based on intelligence. The suspect, identified as Irfan Muhammad, was apprehended, and a bag containing stolen weapons was recovered from him. The bag held five shotguns, three rifles, and two .30 caliber pistols.

Further raids were underway based on the suspect's identification. A case of weapon theft had been registered at the Gulshan police station.

Irfan Muhammad, who hailed from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, had previously worked as a guard at various security companies in Karachi. A case against him was registered at the CTD police station in Karachi under illegal weapons charges.
