Former adviser to CM Dahri arrested again after his release on bail

Police officials say Dahri and Otho had been detained by the Nawabshah police

HYDERABAD: Sardar Muhammad Ismail Dahri, who served as adviser to former Sindh chief minister Qaim Ali Shah, and his gunman were again taken into custody after they were released from the Hyderabad jail.

According to a senior police officer, a Hyderabad judge had ordered the release of Dahri and his gunman Inayat Otho on bail against Rs100,000 each in a case pertaining to possession of drugs and arms.

However, after their release, they were again arrested by the police on the jail premises and shifted to an undisclosed location.

Police officials said Dahri and Otho had been detained by the Nawabshah police.

Dahri's nephew Ali Raza Dahri is also missing and his mobile phone is switched off.

The former adviser to the CM was wanted by the police authorities in a case registered at the Daulatpur police station. Earlier, the Hyderabad A Section police had arrested the two men on September 20 and claimed to have seized a Kalashnikov rifle and five kilogrammes of charas from their possession.
