NMC nomination of 8 officers cancelled despite PM’s displeasure

ISLAMABAD: Despite displeasure expressed by the prime minister, changes have been made in Grade-20 officers nominated for the National Management Course (NMC) for promotion to Grade-21. Nomination of eight officers of Grade-20 of Pakistan Administrative Service has been cancelled.

Last week, the prime minister had expressed displeasure over cancellation of nominations of officers for the course. According to the Establishment Division, “It’s for the last time nominations have been cancelled.”

Among the officers whose nominations have been cancelled are Forest Secretary Mudassar Waheed Malik posted in Punjab, Secretary Minerals Babar Aman Babar, Secretary Industry and Trade Ehsan Bhutta, Commissioner Lahore Division Zaid Bin Maqsood, Secretary Finance Mujahid Sherdil, Commissioner D.G. Khan Dr Nasir Mahmood Bashir, Secretary Excise and Taxation Muhammad Masood Mukhtar and Secretary Finance Gilgit-Baltistan Aziz Ahmad Jamali. The officers must attend the 122nd National Management Course. The course, which will start from August 26 in the National School of Public Policy, will continue till December 27.
