More health centres

The people of Bari Imam, Islamabad have been deprived of basic health facilities for decades. In response to this long-standing issue, a Community Health Centre (CHC) with a capacity of 30 beds was inaugurated by the previous government in 2021. The centre was meant to serve the residents of Bari Imam, who are forced to travel to the Polyclinic Hospital or PIMS Hospital to receive even the most basic healthcare. Unfortunately, the health centre has not been made operational. I think this is because of the change in government. As a result, the people of Bari Imam continue to face significant challenges in accessing healthcare.

It is, therefore, requested that the incumbent government take immediate action to ensure this health centre is fully operational. Doing so, would not only provide essential health services to the local population but also create job opportunities for the community. In addition, there is an urgent need for the construction of more community health centres to serve the growing populations of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Establishing such centres will allow people to receive treatment for minor illnesses within their own communities, reducing the burden on major hospitals.
