In an address to young players at the National Hockey Stadium on Monday evening, Iqbal’s words of encouragement came as Punjab’s hockey teams prepare for the upcoming 37th National Junior Hockey Championship.

“Our players are blessed with abundant potential,” Iqbal stated, addressing the camp probables gathered for the pre-championship training. “They possess the capability to restore Pakistan’s lost glory in hockey.” His motivational speech highlighted the nation’s rich hockey heritage and the current generation’s responsibility to carry that legacy forward.

The event was graced by the presence of hockey luminaries, including former captain and Olympian Shahbaz Senior, Olympian Anjum Saeed, and ex-international player Khawar Javed, underlining the importance of the upcoming championship in nurturing young talent.
