24 players called for SAFF Women’s Championship camp

FAISALABAD: Pakistan Football Federation has named 24 probable players for the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Women’s Championship, to be held in Nepal in mid-October.

The squad will begin training in Islamabad on Oct. 1 for the tournament, where Pakistan is set to face India on Oct. 17 and Bangladesh on Oct. 20. Forward Nadia Khan returns to the team after recovering from an injury. The squad includes three goalkeepers: Nisha Ashraf, Mafiha Parveen, and Romeesa Khan. Defenders Kyla Siddiqi, Mishal Bhatti, Sara Khan, and Nazalia Siddiqi have been selected, while midfielders Suha Hirani, Maria Khan, Sana Mahdi, Aamna Hanif, Rameen Fareed, and Kainat Bukhari have also been called up.
