30 vehicles destroyed in Clifton fire

A fire broke out in abandoned vehicles in the Clifton area on Monday, resulting in damage to 30 vehicles, some of which were completely burned.

The blaze ignited in a plot in Block 1, Shireen Jinnah Colony, under the jurisdiction of the Boat Basin police station. The flames quickly escalated, shooting high into the sky. Police responded promptly to the emergency, calling in Karachi Metropolitan Corporation Fire Brigade and Rescue 1122 teams. Firefighters arrived within minutes, and after an intense effort lasting about one and a half hours, they managed to control the fire.

Fortunately, no casualties were reported. The affected vehicles were primarily from various departments of the Sindh government, with over 100 government vehicles parked at the site at the time.
