People convey problems to officials at Bara jirga

BARA: The people here on Monday informed the officials about their problems at a jirga.The jirga was held at the Tehsil Complex Bara under the supervision of the district administration.

Deputy Commissioner Khyber Captain (retd) Sanaullah Khan, Member National Assembly Iqbal Afridi, Member Provincial Assembly Abdul Ghani Afridi, Additional Deputy Commissioner Ehsanullah, Noman Ali Shah, Assistant Commissioner (Bara) Shahabuddin, Amil Khan and Tehsildar Bara Dawood Afridi were present.

District officers of line departments including local government representatives, journalists, tribal elders, the business community, youth and people belonging to Afridi tribes were also in attendance.

The people from Bara and Tirah informed the officers about their problems and put forward suggestions.They asked the officials to provide them health facilities and ensure the maintenance of roads besides appointing teachers at schools, and doctors at the local health centres.

The deputy commissioner directed the relevant officials to redress the complaints of the local people.He said that it was the priority of the district administration to help resolve the problems of the people.

The official said he had directed the officials of the line departments to look into the issues.He said the people in the tribal districts suffered due to militancy, adding that the government was focusing on providing them relief.
