KARACHI: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi used Pakistan’s airspace for 45 minutes on his way to the US and contrary to tradition, passed silently.
According to aviation sources, Indian prime minister left the capital Delhi early on Saturday morning for Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to attend the fourth Quad Leaders Summit hosted by US President Joe Biden. During this trip, the Indian PM’s special plane ‘India One’ remained in Pakistan’s airspace for 45 minutes. Modi entered the Afghan airspace from Chitral at 05:35 am via Hafizabad, Chakwal, Islamabad and Mardan at a height of 36,000 feet.
Contrary to international traditional manners, Narendra Modi did not leave any message of goodwill to Pakistani government or people. It should be noted that Narendra Modi has used Pakistan’s airspace many times before.
