Islamabad : The Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rainfall nationwide from September 26 to October 1, with rain expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Murree, Galiyat, and Lahore.
According to it, thunderstorms and rain may also occur in Peshawar, Swabi, Nowshera, Mardan, and Dera Ismail Khan.
Additionally, Sahiwal, Jhang, Okara, Pakpattan, Kasur, and Bhakkar are likely to be hit by thunderstorms.
The department issued a warning about increased water flow in streams and rivers in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, northeastern Punjab, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir, as well as the potential for urban flooding in low-lying areas of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, and Sialkot.
There is also a risk of landslides in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Murree, Galyat, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
