Sources said that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) granted Misbah permission to travel, as he had notified them of his commitments prior to his appointment.

However, the timing of his departure – with the Markhor team still in contention – has raised eyebrows among fans and pundits alike.

While Misbah’s charity work was pre-arranged, his decision to leave during a crucial phase of the tournament has not sat well with many.

Social media has been abuzz with criticism, as fans question whether the former captain should

have prioritised his mentorship role, particularly given his significant remuneration.

An official of PCB confirmed that he has travelled with permission and the approval of PCB and will return soon to join his side before the final of Champions Cup, if they qualify.
