The wrong spot

The National Library of Pakistan is currently located behind the Prime Minister’s Office and is not easily approachable by the people due to its location in a high-security area. Consequently, it is unable to attract many visitors, which defeats the whole purpose of having a library. In the interest of students, teachers and researchers etc, the library should be shifted to a more easily accessible location.

The areas surrounding the Pakistan Secretariat in the G-5 Sector or the National Institutes of Health ought to be considered as the required land is, by all appearances, already available. It should also be noted that the National Library building is quite old and falling apart. Relocation, aside from making the National Library more accessible, would also allow us to build a modern, state-of-the-art library building.
