This initiative, part of a broader mission to promote women’s empowerment and autonomy, will help participants gain confidence and independence. In this regard, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed among Lahore Traffic Police, APWA College and All Pakistan Women’s Association to formalise this collaboration.

As part of the "Green Future Fellowship – Drive for Change" programme, women will be trained not only in driving but also in sustainable mobility, with electric scooters being introduced as an environmentally friendly option.

CTO Lahore Amara Athar emphasised the societal impact of such initiatives, stating: “When women are empowered, the whole society experiences a positive transformation.” She added that at the completion of the training, the participants will also be granted driving licences.
