Islamabad: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast higher daytime temperatures in most parts of the country from today through next week due to a cyclonic low pressure system forming over the Bay of Bengal.

According to a PMD official, daytime temperatures could rise by three to four degrees Celsius between September 20 and September 26. He said a cyclone in the South China Sea was moving southwest toward Bengal, contributing to the disturbance in the Bay of Bengal and leading to higher daytime temperatures. "This low pressure system is projected to reach the Arabian Sea in the coming days, with potential for heavy post-monsoonal rainfall across the country after the 25th," he said.
