Two commit suicide

LAHORE:A 20-years old girl and a man allegedly committed suicides in different incidents on Wednesday. In Baghbanpura, a 20-year-old woman identified as Shiza ingested wheat-preserving pills for unknown reasons. She was rushed to hospital unconscious but could not survive.

In another incident, a 40-year-old man, Shiraz, allegedly took his own life in Sher Shah Colony. The man hanged himself from a ceiling fan. In Shahdara, a violent altercation between two drug addicts escalated when one man attacked the other with a knife. The 30-year-old victim, gravely injured, was shifted to the hospital but succumbed to his wounds.

Man killed, son wounded by firing

A 49-year-old man was shot dead and his son injured following a minor altercation in the Harbanspura area on Wednesday. The incident occurred when an argument escalated into gunfire, leaving the father, Naveed, critically injured. His son, Bilal, sustained a gunshot wound to his leg. Police immediately arrived at the scene and rushed both victims to the hospital. Naveed succumbed to his injuries, while Bilal remains under medical treatment. A case has been registered against the accused identified as Sheraim, Huzaifa, Naseer, and Umar based on a complaint filed by Bilal, the son of the deceased.

Held in murder case

Police have arrested a man accused of brutally murdering his co-worker over a minor argument. The suspect, Naeem, was apprehended from Pakpattan. Naeem, the factory owner where the victim worked, allegedly assaulted Zohaib after a verbal altercation escalated in Lower Mall. Zohaib died as a result of the brutal attack. According to the police, Naeem was arrested using advanced technology and human intelligence techniques.

Dacoit gang busted

Police have arrested three members of notorious Babri dacoit gang. The gang’s ringleader, Babar alias Babri, along with his accomplices Bashir and Sami, were apprehended during a raid by Johar Town Investigations police.
