The Bear co-creator Christopher Scorrer scored his fourth Emmy award.
On Sunday, September 15, at the 2024 Primetime Emmy Awards the director of the FX’s series took home the statuette for directing a comedy series, Notably, his second consecutive win for his directorial talent.
Last year Scorrer, 43, earned three awards for The Bear that includes, directing for a Comedy Series, producing for a Comedy Series and writing for a Comedy Series
"On this episode, we were all cramped into a smaller house and to see the whole crew and see how much they worked and cared about each other, I accept this award on their behalf of them," Storrer said during his acceptance speech on Sunday night. "How lucky we are to be doing this and anyone watching it means so much to us."
The Bear beat out other comedy hits nominated in the category, including HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm and Hacks, Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building, ABC’s Abbott Elementary, Apple’s Palm Royale and FX’s Reservation Dogs and What We Do in The Shadows.
In addition to Scorrer, The Bear bagged three other wins with star Jeremy Allen White for the best lead actor in a comedy series, Liza Colón-Zayas for the best supporting actress, becoming the first Latina to ever win in the category and Ebon Moss-Bachrach for best supporting actor.
