Traffic police issues 11,728, lincenses generates Rs44.12m

Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Traffic Police (RTC) has issued 11,728 fresh licenses and generated Rs44.12 million in the last 15 days.

“From September 01 to 15, the RTC issued 11,728 fresh licences and generated Rs44,216,345,” Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Bennish Fatema in a statement said. The CTO said that the RTC is start licensing in two shifts at Shehbaz Sharif Park, Kallar Syedan, Mobile Van and Rawalpindi Cantonment. “Aim is to improve service delivery and licensing net,” she said.

She observed that people with licenses drive more carefully and ethically and same results in safer roads and less number of accidents. “It is because of the fact that no one drives with license in developed countries that less number of accidents occur there,” she said. She told commuters that Rawalpindi Traffic Police is their police and pouring its efforts to make traffic congestion less, road open, highways safe and drivers accountable.
