Animal cruelty and the targeted poaching of wildlife are serious problems throughout the world, with Pakistan being no exception. Government restrictions on hunting are rarely observed and influential people seem to be able to hunt and kill animals with impunity. It is imperative for the government to take effective measures against innocent killings and mistreatment of animals.
There have also been several prominent cases of domesticated animals such as donkeys and camels being mistreated and even mutilated. The government must prevent further killings and mistreatment of animals by holding offenders accountable under the law without influence or bias and by ensuring strict implementation of hunting regulations.
