Jennie Garth regrets participating in 'Beverly Hills, 90210' reboot

Jennie Garth, who starred as Kelly Taylor in the original Beverly Hills, 90210 series, recently expressed her regret over participating in the 2008 reboot, 90210.

During a panel at '90s Con in Florida, Garth shared her thoughts on the experience, saying, "I wish I hadn't done it. No offense to them."

Garth explained that she was convinced to join the reboot by a producer who was a friend of a friend, who presented it as a "chance of a lifetime."

She added, "But the people were very nice and all the best to them."

Garth was joined on the panel by fellow Beverly Hills, 90210 alums Brian Austin Green, Gabrielle Carteris, and Ian Ziering, who also shared their thoughts on the reboot.

Carteris admitted, "I never wanted to [do it]. I was so shocked they were doing a new show. I was like, is it like, they long so much you're just going to try to reinvent it over and over?"

Green added, "No offense at all, it's to me, we did 10 years of that show and it's like OK, done."

In contrast, the cast members had a more positive experience working together on Fox's BH90210 in 2019, which saw them play heightened versions of themselves in a fictionalized drama.

Carteris recalled, "It felt full circle, to be together as adults, having had our children, being able to work together. I thought it was probably one of those most impactful moments of my life."
