The committee currently includes only Senator Ishaq Dar being the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister.

On Saturday, an in-camera meeting of the special parliamentary committee was held at the Parliament House under Chairman Syed Khursheed Shah in which the government side gave some glimpses of proposed measures that would be introduced through constitutional amendments.

The parliamentary committee will also propose measures for the full implementation of Democratic Charter, including the establishment of a constitutional court.

In the special committee meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar talked about the extraordinary session of National Assembly and Senate on Saturday and Sunday and said the speaker had issued 8 production orders.

Sources said when Syed Khursheed Shah asked why he was calling the members on leave, Dar suggested in the parliamentary committee that full representation should be given to the Senate in the special committee like on the occasion of the 18th Amendment.
