LAHORE : Information Minister Azma Bokhari has said speaking against national policy by any chief minister is tantamount to being anti-state.

“Ali Amin Gandapur has already clarified why he is going to talk to Afghanistan. Gandapur himself stated that he does not consider federal government and its foreign policy. Such statement falls under the category of rebellion. The KP CM says that he will make decisions according to his own will,” the minister said while reacting to Barrister Saif’s statement.

She said, “Tell your incompetent CM that foreign policy is formulated by the federation, not by provinces.

Meeting with ambassadors for the betterment of one's province is a good thing. Foreign visits with the PM are meant to strengthen the federation.”

The minister said any CM speaking against national policy independently is equivalent to being anti-state.

“A CM’s meeting with representatives of another country, bypassing the federation, raises many questions.

We can see what agenda you are pursuing; we have not closed our eyes to it. The nation has also recognised your double standards and deceit,” the minister said.
