Carrying banners and placards, the students from the Government Jehanzeb College, Saidu Degree College and other colleges in the district rejected the results of the Higher Secondary School Certificate examinations, which were conducted by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Swat.

Chanting slogans, the protesting students demanded transparency in the affairs of the board and said the fees for the rechecking of the papers should be reduced.

Insaf Students Federal president Sheraz Khan, general secretary Malik Farhad Ali and others led the students.

Speaking on the occasion, they alleged favoritism in the affairs of the Swat educational board and said this deprived the hardworking students of their rights.

The students demanded the formation of an inquiry committee to determine the facts, adding that the students using unfair means managed to secure more marks than the ones who worked hard.
