IHC sends PTI MNAs on judicial remand

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) while nullifying eight-day physical remand of PTI MNAs has ordered to send arrested leaders of PTI on judicial remand.

The petitions seeking annulment of physical remand of PTI leaders arrested in the cases registered after PTI public meeting came up for hearing before a division bench of IHC comprising Chief Justice (CJ) Aamer Farooq and Justice Saman Rafat Imtiaz Friday.

Prosecutor General (PG) appeared in the court.

Adil Aziz Qazi, Vice Chairman Islamabad Bar Council and Raja Haleem Abbasi advocate appeared in the court on behalf of the accused persons.

IHC CJ remarked that the state has come. “All the orders of physical remand are same. Let the state give reply what had happened such that physical remand of 8 days was given. This is such act which has no precedence,” he said.
