This upgrade aims to enhance the gas supply and improve production capacity for industrial users. The development is designed to provide consistent and reliable gas pressure to industries, allowing them to operate at optimal levels.

Manyar also noted that the consumption of regasified liquefied natural gas (RLNG) is higher in Punjab compared to Sindh, leading to lower RLNG prices in Punjab. He made these comments while addressing members of the Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI).

Manyar expressed his gratitude to industrialists and KATI members for their ongoing cooperation with SSGC. He highlighted the positive changes the company has undergone during his tenure.

KATI President Johar Qandhari praised Manyar for implementing revolutionary changes at SSGC, which have significantly improved the company’s performance, financial stability and overall growth. He commended Manyar for leading new alternative energy projects that have contributed to the company’s income generation. Qandhari also lauded the installation of new high-pressure gas lines, particularly in Korangi, under Manyar’s leadership, which has enhanced gas supply to Karachi’s industrial hubs.

Qandhari noted that under Manyar’s tenure, gas theft, also known as unaccounted-for gas (UFG), has been reduced by 56 per cent -- the lowest rate in the past 20 years. He further mentioned that investments in the sector have surged from Rs9 billion to Rs25 billion, with projections to reach Rs40 billion next year.
