NCA extends admission date

LAHORE:The National College of Arts (NCA), Lahore and Rawalpindi, has extended the admission deadline for its degree programmes to September 16, 2024.

According to details, admissions are open on Open Merit, Self-Finance, Self-Support Scheme, and Reserved Seats. NCA Lahore is accepting applications for programmes in Architecture, Fine Arts, Design (including Visual Communication Design, Textile Design, Fashion Design, Product Design, and Ceramic Design), Music, Film & TV, Multimedia Arts, and Cultural Studies while NCA Rawalpindi offers programs in Architecture, Fine Arts, and Design (including Visual Communication Design and Textile Design). Detailed information regarding admissions is available on the official websites of NCA and NTS.

Seminar on clinical case studies

The University of Management and Technology (UMT) hosted its first international seminar on Clinical Case Studies, organised by the School of Professional Psychology. The event brought together a distinguished assembly of national and international researchers, experts, and speakers.

According to a press release, prominent psychologists, including Dr Erum Zahra Bukhari, Dr Sarah Subhan, Abidi Fateh and Dr Maaza Saeed, delivered insightful discussions on current trends in clinical psychology.

Dean School of Professional Psychology Dr Haziq Mehmood, Dr Ayesha Jabeen, staff, faculty and students were also present. Experts also presented 90 case studies addressing various challenges and issues in clinical psychology while seeking effective solutions.

Dr Haziq Mehmood highlighted UMT’s commitment to promoting a research-oriented study culture. He emphasised that UMT's School of Professional Psychology was playing a vital role in addressing societal issues.

Dr Erum Zahra Bukhari and other scholars highlighted the importance of psychology in daily life and stressed the need to address family and children’s issues with appropriate methods.
