The chief justice heard multiple transit bail applications submitted by the MNA.Ali Zaman Advocate represented the MNA in the court. During the hearing, Ali Zaman informed the court that three first information reports (FIRs) had been lodged against his client by the Punjab government.

He said the FIRs, which included charges under anti-terrorism laws, were filed in Dera Ghazi Khan, Rahim Yar Khan and Muzaffargarh districts. The lawyer said the accusations involve alleged violations of the law at various events.Ali Zaman argued that the MNA was a law-abiding citizen and a representative of the people, but he was being victimized by the Punjab government.

He said Jamshed Dasti was elected MNA in the last general election and enjoyed the trust of his constituents. However, the lawyer claimed that the cases against him were politically motivated and that Dasti was being subjected to political victimization through the registration of the cases.

The court was told that one of the FIRs, filed in Rahim Yar Khan, included charges under the Anti-Terrorism Act.The lawyer requested the court to grant bail to his client so that he could appear before the relevant courts. The lawyers said the FIRs were lodged at n different locations, making it difficult for the MNA to ensure his appearance in separate districts.

Ali Zaman said that his client Jamshed Dasti was attending a meeting at the Chief Minister’s House when he came to know about the registration of the FIRs.
