Smuggled cloth seized in Saddar market operation

The Anti-Smuggling Squad of the Pakistan Customs’ Enforcement Collectorate has been carrying out operations across the city to curb smuggling activities.

According to a Customs spokesperson, after a tip-off was received by Collector Customs Enforcement Karachi Basit Maqsood Abbasi, the Anti-Smuggling Squad led by Deputy Collector Customs Enforcement Muhammad Raza Naqvi seized high-quality smuggled men's suiting fabric from a warehouse located on the third floor of the Cooperative Market in Saddar. The total weight of the seized fabric was six tonnes with an estimated value of Rs20 million. The spokesperson said that the seized fabric was transported to the squad’s warehouse, and a case registered under the Customs Act.
