In Pakistan, several state institutions in the health, education and other sectors carry the names of various political leaders of low stature as opposed to the highly reputable leaders like Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah; Shaheed-e-Millat Liquat Ali Khan etc. Since all such institutions are national assets, they deserve to be identified as such and not as symbols of the reputation of individual politicians.
Such names may give the impression that the properties are owned by them or their families. This misleading trend should be discouraged by the authorities by renaming all such state institutions.
