SARGODHA: The Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly and the central leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Omar Ayub, claimed that PTI Founder Chairman Imran Khan will not face a military trial.

Speaking to the media on the occasion of appearing in the Anti-Terrorism Court of Sargodha in May 9 incidents, Omar Ayub said that the PTI leaders who are undergoing military trials are political prisoners.

It should be remembered that earlier Defence Minister Khawaja Asif had said in his statement if the military trial of Imran Khan takes place, it will be in front of everyone.

When asked about Akhtar Mengal’s resignation from the National Assembly, the PTI leader said that Akhtar Mengal has been asked to withdraw his resignation but he refused. he said that Balochistan is burning but no one cares.

He said that after announcing to make electricity cheaper, the electricity was cut off the next day, the government of Form 47 has failed to control the situation.

Omar Ayub said that if there is evidence of May 9, it should be brought forward. He said that the opposition party is fighting for the survival of the country and democracy.

In response to a question, Omar Ayub said that Mohsin Naqvi is directly involved in the sugar and wheat scandals.
