ISLAMABAD: Ahmed Nael Qureshi got the better of Bilal Asim 4-6, 7-5, 3-3 (retd) to win the 18 and Under boys’ singles title in the Khawar Hyat Khan Memorial National Ranking Tennis here at the PTF-SDA Tennis Complex Thursday.
The tournament is being held in honour of late Khawar Hyat Khan, who served as senior executive vice president of PTF from 2015 until his death on January 26, 2024 (during Senator Salim Saifullah Khan’s tenure).
Results: Ladies’ singles semi-final: Ushna Suhail bt Soha Ali 6-4, 6-4.
Boys’ 18 & Under final: Ahmed Nael Qureshi bt Bilal Asim 4-6, 7-5, 3-3 (retd).
Boys’ 12 & Under final: Shayan Afridi bt Rashid Ali 4-2, 4-2.
Boys’ 12 & Under semi-final: Rashid Ali bt Muhammad Muaaz 4-2, 4-1; Shayan Afridi bt Muhammad Junaid 4-2, 4-0.
