FAISALABAD: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) granted interim bail to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur in cases related to the May 9 incidents.
Gandapur was a nominated suspect in four cases registered in Faisalabad, including charges related to the attack on a sensitive agency’s office.
Gandapur appeared before ATC Judge Raja Shahid Zameer under heavy security and the court approved his interim bail, directing him to appear again on September 12.
During the hearing, Gandapur requested the court to instruct the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) to record his statement as he had to travel a long way to Faisalabad. On which, the court did not issue a formal order but directed the JIT to include Gandapur in the investigation and asked for the case records at the next hearing.
