ISLAMABAD: PTI leader Azam Swati on Monday said those who facilitated his meeting with Imran Khan in Adiala Jail made a positive contribution to the country’s best interest.

Azam Swati had come to the Supreme Court on the instructions of PTI founding Chairman Imran Khan to enquire about the status of his complaint filed in the Supreme Judicial Council against Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja and other members of the Commission regarding alleged rigging in February 8 polls.

Talking to media persons outside the Supreme Court, Azam Swati said that Imran Khan postponed the August 22 rally in respect of the Khatam-e-Nabuwat Movement as workers of several religious parties had assembled at the Supreme Court for the hearing of Muabark Sani’s case.

He said he visited the SC Registrar’s office to inquire about the status of their complaint filed in the Supreme Judicial Council against CEC and other members of the ECP for alleged rigging in February polls “however he was not allowed into the office despite practising law for the last 49 years.” Swati also reiterated the PTI’s demand asking Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa and Chief Justice Islamabad High Court Justice Aamir Farooq not to hear cases related to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Inassaf. He said the party leaders will face all the false cases for saving the country and we desire supremacy of the constitution and the rule of law.”Despite serious difficulties, our workers and leaders are committed to the welfare and prosperity of the country,” he concluded.
