LAHORE: Former Pakistan captain and head coach Waqar Younis is set to step down from his role as an adviser to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
Sources close to the cricketer indicate that Waqar will no longer serve in his advisory capacity for cricket affairs. Instead, he has expressed a desire to work with the national team as a mentor in the PCB’s newly introduced domestic setup, the “Champions Tournaments.” Waqar has reportedly informed the PCB of his decision and has already submitted an application for the mentor role.
