PNS Hunain conducts bilateral exercise with Saudi naval forces

Ship was welcomed by senior officials of RSNF and representatives of the Pakistan Embassy

ISLAMABAD: The newly commissioned Pakistan Navy Ship HUNAIN, during its maiden voyage from Romania to Pakistan, visited Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and participated in a bilateral exercise with a ship of the Royal Saudi Naval Forces.

Upon arrival at Jeddah port, the ship was welcomed by senior officials of the Royal Saudi Naval Forces (RSNF) and representatives of the Pakistan Embassy.

During its stay, the Commanding Officer of PNS HUNAIN called on Rear Admiral Mansoor Bin Saood Al Jayyad, the RSNF Western Fleet Commander, and Rear Admiral Saleh Bin Abdullah Al-Amri, the Commander of King Faisal Naval Base.

The meetings focused on mutual interest and bilateral cooperation between the two navies.

Later, PNS HUNAIN conducted a Passage Exercise with HMS AL RIYADH of the RSNF, rehearsing various Joint Maritime Drills and Operations. The exercise aimed to enhance interoperability between the two navies.

The visit of PNS HUNAIN to Saudi Arabia and its participation in the bilateral exercise provided an opportunity to strengthen the existing brotherly relations and defence collaboration between the two countries, a spokesman of the Pakistan Navy said.
