She said that the hunger strike, which commences at 3pm and ends by 7pm, is more of a ‘diet plan’ than a genuine hunger strike. She remarked that “intermittent fasting” is being carried out for the offenders of the May 9 incident.

Aurangzeb criticised the strike, saying that a hunger strike beginning after lunch and ending before dinner is a mere farce and a joke. For the culprits of May 9, she noted, a four-hour “diet plan” is all they can follow.Marriyum Aurangzeb said that those who have subjected the country to inflation and kept the people hungry are now mocking the public with a four-hour hunger strike.

The senior minister emphatically stated that those who confessed to damaging national installations, desecrating martyrs’ monuments, torching Quaid-e-Azam’s residence, and injuring police and Rangers personnel deserve stern punishment, not a four-hour hunger strike.
