PESHAWAR: Provincial Ombudsman Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has released a quarterly report for March to May 2024, highlighting the institution’s activities and outreach-oriented tasks.

Waqar Maroof, Media Consultant to the Provincial Ombudsman Secretariat, shared the report and emphasized the Secretariat’s focus on creating an environment where common people felt encouraged to approach the office to address their grievances.He said the provincial ombudsman published a report after every three months that covered events and activities and provided insight into the Ombudsman Secretariat’s works along with aims and objectives.

The official said the Ombudsman Secretariat’s annual report for 2024 would be released next month.Provincial Ombudsman Syed Jamal ud Din Shah in the quarterly report emphasized the importance of raising public awareness about the Secretariat’s functioning and encouraging people to approach the office for resolving their grievances.

The report highlighted activities of the secretariat and that of the regional offices of Abbottabad, Dera Ismail Khan, and Swat, and featured messages from the chief minister and the law and parliamentary affairs minister.Visits by senior officials, including Federal Ombudsman Ijaz Ahmad Qureshi, have been covered in the report as well.
