James Paxton hit the red carpet of the Twister sequel premiere 27 years after his late father, Bill Paxton, walked on the red carpet of the 1996 blockbuster.
During an interview with Entertainment Weekly at the premiere held on Thursday, July 11, the 30-year-old actor opened up about his outfit, honouring mother, Louise Paxton.
"I want to wear something really cool, and so I'm working with a stylist who I've worked with for many years and she suggested a Dolce and Gabbana suit," said James, who appeared as a disgruntled motel guest in the new film,Twisters.
"I was really excited because I told my mom, 'I'm going to wear Dolce at the Twisters premiere!' And she goes, 'I wore Dolce and Gabbana at the original premiere!'" he continued, "And then she pulls out her original outfit that she still has from the '90s."
The actor, set to step into his father’s role in the Last Train to Fortune, shared his mother showed him her photos in a white outfit with his dad at Twister premiere in 1996.
"It's so crazy and kind of meant to be," he added, "And I was telling the rep at Dolce that yesterday, they just thought it was really cool."
Additionally, on Friday, James will release a new song, Count on Me, honouring his dad.
