According to the spokesperson, the Ombudsman’s office is digitalising its processes and systems to enhance public access to justice, especially for people who file their online complaints from abroad.

The Overseas Pakistanis Complaint Management Information System (OPCMIS) being launched is part of this transformative change. The mobile phones were acquired as part of this ongoing up-gradation to ensure that officers and staff of the Ombudsman’s office can promptly take action on such complaints, including those filed online.

These mobile phones were purchased from the allocated and sanctioned budget of the Office, following all procedural formalities and in compliance with PPRA rules, and with the approval of the competent authority, added the spokesperson.
