In a recent TV programme, televised by a private channel, there was a display of male chauvinism at its worst. A pseudo intellectual, in a sweeping statement, stated that 95 per cent of all women are illiterate. Such men are no role models and have no business in counselling others on morals and ethics. Especially when they have no control over the vital link between their mental faculties and the words that they utter.
These men need counselling and should never be allowed to give lectures to others. TV channels must not descend to such lows in the pursuit of ratings. Males, females and transgender persons are all human beings, who deserve respect and whose rights must not be violated.
