ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder chairman Imran Khan, former foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and former interior minister Sheikh Rashid have been acquitted in a case registered against them at the Aabpara Police Station.
The case registered against former prime minister Imran Khan and others for staging a protest rally against the decision of Election Commission of Pakistan came up for hearing before the Sessions Court, Islamabad, on Wednesday.
The court announced the reserved decision on the acquittal plea. Judicial magistrate Yasir Mehmood announced the reserved decision.
Former speaker National Assembly Asad Qaisar, Senator Faisal Javed Khan, Khurram Nawaz and Shehryar Afridi were also acquitted.
