Eight uplift schemes worth Rs27.845bn okayed

LAHORE:The first meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) Fiscal Year 2024-25 was held under the Chairmanship of Planning and Development (P&D) Board Chairman Barrister Nabeel Ahmad Awan and approved eight development schemes of various sectors at an estimated cost of Rs27.845 billion.

The approved schemes included Chief Minister Internship Programme at the cost of Rs1 billion, CM Himmat Card Programme for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) at the cost of Rs1.945 billion, Rehabilitation of Gujrat Sargodha road (Dual Carriageway) at the cost of Rs6.700 billion, Rehabilitation of THAT Pail Road at the cost of Rs4.500 billion, Rehabilitation of Terhada Multan Khurd Road at the cost of Rs1.525 billion, Rehabilitation / Improvement of road from Bhera Malikwal Shahpur Sahiwal Road Section Jhawarian to Shahpur, District Sargodha at the cost of Rs1.940 billion, Rehabilitation / Improvement of Khushab Pail Chakwal Road up to District Boundary Khushab at the cost of Rs4.187 billion, and Improvement / Re-Construction of road Girot Adhikot Rangpur Kallurkot-Darya Khan road from District Boundary Khushab to Daraya Khan, District Bhakkar at the cost of Rs6.046 billion. Secretary P&D Board Dr Asif Tufail, Chief Economist Mr Nasir Iqbal Malik, Members P&D Board, Head of relevant departments and other senior representatives of the relevant provincial departments attended the meeting.
