Made in Pakistan exhibition great success for Pak-Uzbek business community

Tashkent, (Uzbekistan) : The ‘Made in Pakistan’ Exhibition was deemed to be a great success by the business community of both Pakistan and Uzbekistan.

Almost 2000 B2B meetings were held over the three day event at the Uz Expo Centre Tashkent from 28th to 30th June, 2024. An MOU worth USD 40 million was signed between a Pakistani company and the Bukhara Government. A meeting was held between Head of International Investment and Export, Textiles industry Association Uzbekistan (Uztexprom) and Chief Executive Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) along with the exhibitors of textile sector from Pakistan.

Both sides discussed the possibility of Joint Ventures considering the niche of Pakistani textile sector in Finished Textile. Pakistani side highlighted the issues of tariff and stressed for streamlining banking channels for enhancement of trade. Both sides agreed to expand Pakistani textile products across Central Asia.

The G2G interactions during the event have paved the way for stronger trade and economic relations between Pakistan and Uzbekistan in particular and Central Asian states in general.
