MIRANSHAH: The activists of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUIF) here on Sunday staged a protest demonstration against the planned “Operation Azm-e-Istehkam”.
Addressing the protesters, the local JUIF leader said that the tribal people had suffered a lot therefore they could not afford to face displacement due to military operations. Chanting slogans against the military action, they said that the residents of Waziristan had suffered displacement and losses due to various military operations, therefore, they were not ready to leave their homes and would not allow the government to go ahead with its planned military action. They said that the government should hold serious and meaningful talks to resolve all the issues instead of using force. The protesters said that the use of force was not the solution to any problem.
