Nine injured in gas explosion

PESHAWAR: Nine people were wounded when part of the roof of a guest house collapsed in University Town due to a gas explosion on Saturday.

An official of Rescue 1122 said that nine individuals, including children, were rushed to Khyber Teaching Hospital after the roof of a room in Abdara locality caved in.

Police, along with bomb disposal unit experts, promptly arrived at the scene. According to an official, gas leakage appears to be the cause of the roof collapse.
