NAB prosecutor on behalf of chairman anti-graft body has filed an appeal against the verdict of Division Bench of the Islamabad High Court.

It was submitted that the learned high court during the hearing of the case has exercised the powers of a trial court adding that the high court cannot record the statements of the witnesses as done by the trial court.

It was further contended that the high court did not examine the facts before giving the judgment in the case

The NAB prayed to the apex court to set aside the verdict of Islamabad High Court dated May 14, 2024 and suspend it till the final conclusion of the instant appeal.
