TDAP partners with PSW for trade facilitation

KARACHI: The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) and the Pakistan Single Window (PSW) join hands to launch initiatives for trade facilitation, a statement said on Friday.

TDAP and National Exporters Training Program (NETP) officials ended the week by conducting a comprehensive discussion with PSW officials in Karachi.The dialogue explored the areas of mutual interest, with a particular emphasis on the NETP; the capacity building of SME exporters; TDAP’s trade facilitation initiatives; and the significance of improving trade facilitation processes and trade promotional initiatives. Additionally, the officials deliberated on effective strategies for promoting these initiatives.

To take their initiative forwards, these people have decided that the next steps involve the establishment of a joint task force; regular follow-up meetings; and the development of detailed action plans for each area of collaboration. Director-General of TDAP Aasim Tiwana reassured the PSW team of TDAP’s commitment to collaboration and expressed his confidence in the potential for joint endeavours to have a substantial impact on the capacity building of exporters and the facilitation of trade, thereby benefiting Pakistan’s trade landscape.

The meeting concluded with a mutual agreement to continue fostering open communication channels and striving for the successful implementation of collaborative initiatives.Present in the meeting were Director General of TDAP Aasim Tiwana; Deputy Manager and Head of the NETP Afshan Uroos; Chief Domain Officer of the PSW Naveed Abbas Memon; and Domain Officer at the PSW Head Office Asim Awan. The meeting was facilitated by Manager of Change Management Azka Rehman and Deputy Manager of Change Management Rizwan Samad.
