PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to convene the All Parties Conference (APC) to discuss pros and cons regarding Operation Azm-e-Istehkam while grand tribal jirga is set to commence here today.

Provincial government’s spokesperson and advisor on Information and Public Relations Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif said that they were organizing the APC and the formal announcement about it would be made by Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur. “The leaders of all political parties would be invited to the APC for which the date, time and venue would be announced soon,” he said, adding that the moot was aimed at apprising the political leadership of the prevailing situation and taking them into confidence. Meanwhile, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-sponsored grand tribal jirga is commencing at Hayatabad Toll Plaza on Ring Road at 3pm today. Barrister Saif said that various resolutions would be passed at the jirga, which later be tabled at the National and KP assemblies and Senate and forwarded to the KP chief minister for further actions.
